Defense Litigation Attorney

Overview

We partnered with a law firm in the Grand Rapids area seeking a skilled Litigation Defense Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with experience in litigation defense who are looking to advance their career in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

• Engage in insurance defense and other civil litigation and have the ability to handle all aspects of the litigation process.
• Develop case strategy, perform legal research, prepare responsive pleadings, briefs and memoranda, and communicate with clients regarding legal strategies and courses of action.
• Prepare cases by gathering evidence, preparing written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and attending court hearings and mediation. Insurance litigation and trial experience is a plus.
• Be willing to litigate and practice in a number of the firm7s practice areas, including insurance defense, probate litigation, and business litigation.

• In good standing with state bar
• One or more years  experience
• The ideal candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit and seek the rewards and benefits of growing their practice within the firm.
• Attorneys should be prepared to engage in insurance defense and other civil litigation and have the ability to handle all aspects of the litigation process.
