Paralegal

Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This position requires someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in insurance defense or personal injury law. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing cases from contract initiation through settlement, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the full lifecycle of legal cases, from contract signing to settlement.

- Conduct discovery processes, including gathering and organizing relevant information.

- Support civil litigation efforts by preparing and filing necessary documents.

- Assist in trial preparation, ensuring all materials and evidence are ready.

- Utilize case management software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure deadlines and client needs are met.

- Analyze and retain critical information related to insurance defense or personal injury cases.

- Ensure all documentation adheres to legal standards and requirements.

- Communicate with clients and other parties to provide case updates and resolve issues.

The pay range for this position is 37 to 40. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan. Visit  for more information.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a paralegal role, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury.

- Proficiency in discovery processes and civil litigation procedures.

- Familiarity with trial preparation and related legal documentation.

- Hands-on experience with case management software.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to retain and analyze information.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
