Associate or Patent Agent Organic Chemistry Expertise

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong academic credentials, which should minimally include an advanced degree in Organic Chemistry.

• Life science work experience in patent preparation and prosecution. Experience in the small molecules space is a plus.

• For Associates, license to practice law in Illinois (or licensed to practice law in another state and qualified to sit for the Illinois bar exam)

• For Associates and Patent Agents, admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

• Ability to grasp new technical teachings quickly.

• Ability to efficiently review patent and non-patent literature for key concepts.

• Excellent communication skills--both written and verbal--and exceptional organizational skills.

• Candidates should be detail-oriented, professional, and demonstrate the ability to take initiative and ownership of their projects.
