Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estate Law Transactional Lawyer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in transactional law, with a specific focus on estate planning. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven associate to grow their skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Initial

Schedule:

The first six months of employment will be in-office to facilitate hands-on training and mentorship. Following this initial period, the position will transition to a hybrid work model.

Billable Requirement:

The first year of employment would require 1,200-1,500 of billable hours. $150,000 to $200,000 is the revenue for 1st year. After the first year it is determined by year, and experience. The second year typically is $250,000.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Work directly with clients and senior attorneys on all aspects of estate planning, including complex legal issues.
  • Conduct legal research and provide counsel on a variety of estate-related matters, such as tax implications, asset protection, and probate.
  • Manage client files and transactional processes with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist with estate and trust administration tasks as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the Bloomington and Central Illinois communities.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar and good standing.
  • 2-5 years of experience in estate planning or related transactional practice.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to client service and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
