Private Equity/M&A Attorney (4-5 yrs) – Am Law 50 Firm About the Position

Our client, an international law firm renowned for its market‑leading work with tech and start‑up clients, is actively seeking a private equity and M&A attorney to join its practice in Chicago. This world‑class transactional team has over 7,000 private company clients and a long history of representing financial sponsors, high‑growth companies and founders in a range of industries, including software, healthcare/health services, fintech, edtech, telecom, aerospace, defense and government.

• Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents
• Handle day‑to‑day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients

• 4‑5 years of large law firm private equity and M&A experience
• Experience working with private equity sponsors
• Strong academic credentials

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Base salary: $310,000 – $365,000 per year.
