The Role
  • Develop and calculate suitable plans based on P&C small business customers' insurance needs.
  • Present and sell small business insurance policies to new clients through policy quoting, binding, and issuing in carriers' proprietary quoting systems.
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of the Small Commercial market; ability to differentiate between carriers' offerings and make suggestions to our customers that best suit their needs.
  • Financial acumen and general understanding of Small Commercial insurance underwriting.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with commercial underwriters.
  • Persistent in following up with a high volume of leads to win business on a daily basis.
License And Industry Experience Qualifications
  • Must have active Property and Casualty license to be considered.
  • Must have 1+ years of Commercial Insurance experience, preferably in a brokerage setting.

Compensation

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations:
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000-$73,000, with an additional quarterly bonus structure based on individual performance. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
