In 2025 alone, our diligence group produced 150+ reports, directly fueling 9% top-line growth and unlocking marquee relationships with leading portco/s and sponsors like Top Golf/Leonard Green. These due diligence reports open the door to major portfolio wins and can be tied to tangible and measurable revenue. We have identified you as a leader who can take this proven model and turn it into a best-in-class process of technical excellence, speed, and credibility across the Private Equity life cycle from prospect to client.

As the Due Diligence Team Leader, you’ll step into a highly visible and high-impact role that is at the intersection of deal flow, technical review, and client strategy. You’ll own the beginning-to-end diligence process, managing report quality, coordinating with subject matter experts, and shaping the winning story behind each opportunity. With your insurance expertise and project leadership, you’ll elevate the standard of every deliverable that reaches a PE sponsor, strengthen our producer relationships, and directly influence millions in new business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads our Risk and Insurance Due Diligence practice with a focus on improving workflow, process and deliverables.
  • Oversees diligence projects of varying complexity.
  • Communicate internally with brokers, coverage / exposure experts, producers, client service team and M&A team members and collaborate to develop findings and solutions.
  • Communicate externally on daily basis as trusted advisor with private equity firms, target companies or their representatives.
  • Execute and deliver to clients accurate and professional due diligence reports.
  • Analyze and provide technical input on insurance coverage, claims history, insurance-related collateral, insurance-related financial expense, surety bonds and insurance sections of the draft purchase agreement.
  • Identify transaction issues and work with clients’ other third-party advisors to develop resolution.
  • Collaborate with producers to build and maintain relationships with ongoing clients and convert due diligence targets to ongoing clients.
  • Communicate and capture the value that NFP brings even to the most challenging situations.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and analyze data.
  • Prepare proposals and make presentations to clients and prospects.

Required

Skills & Experience:

  • Property and Casualty insurance technical proficiency. Broad knowledge of specialty insurance including property, casualty, cyber, E&O, financial lines, environmental, group captives and other.
  • Financial – basic understanding of financial statements, accounting.
  • Project management – coordinate activities and information flow from a group of people within specified time frame.
  • Strategic and analytical skillsattention to detail but able to draw conclusions.
  • Management & Education – ability to manage, lead and increase the knowledge base of a team.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) – ability to communicate well and at the appropriate level with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to perform under stress / tight time frames.
  • 8+ years of experience in the Insurance space.

Preferred Experience:

  • MBA, CPA or JD a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
