As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting commercial risk. As a Broker you will report directly to the Local Mid-Market / CORE Broking Leader.

This hybrid position allows for 3 days per week working from our Chicago office.

The Broker is responsible for the management of a portfolio of CORE accounts, including the placement and service, as well as ensuring client results are maintained. This individual is accountable for acting as the representative for the local office or region on new business and renewal opportunities. The individual will work in supporting local colleagues; promoting and ensuring connectivity, collaboration and cooperation within local office practices and team standards, functions and encouraging the sharing of knowledge, best practices and resources around our Property and Casualty accounts.

• Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Property, Casualty, Worker's Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Excess, and Foreign Package policies.
• Advise and complete the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions. Completing placements within required time frames and servicing those placements including their renewals.
• Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the carriers and underwriters.
• Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team.
• Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team.

The individual leads by example as a strong sponsor of Aon's Leadership Model; supporting local colleagues; promoting and ensuring connectivity, collaboration and cooperation within local office practices, functions and fostering the sharing of knowledge, best practices and resources around our Property and Casualty accounts.

• 2+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
• Experience with Online Insurance Portals
• Proven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess) and Property coverages.
• An understanding of CORE P&C risks and carrier appetites.
• Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.
• Relationships with the carriers that write CORE P&C business.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $95,000 - $125,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
