Executive Underwriter, AIGRM

At AIG, we are reimagining the way we help customers manage risk. Join us as an Executive Underwriter, AIG Risk Management (AIGRM).

• Underwrite Workers’ Compensation, General Liability and Auto Liability primary Casualty product lines.
• Develop and manage underwriting strategies for renewals and prospects.
• Make independent sales calls, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Collaborate with distributors, territory managers and other line underwriters.
• Rapidly evaluate, prioritize, and select submissions to be underwritten.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities for other Commercial products.
• Provide technical direction to management and team.
• Review, evaluate and recommend improvements to underwriting guidelines and conduct internal audits.
• Participate in special underwriting projects.

• 5+ years of experience in Commercial Insurance (company, agency or brokerage).
• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Advanced working knowledge of U.S. Casualty lines:
  Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, General Liability.
• Sales, marketing and relationship building experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated and results oriented.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
• Expertise with underwriting analytical tools and technology.

For positions based in Chicago, the base salary range is $105,000–$130,000. The position is eligible for a bonus and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, wellness, financial security and professional development.
