Automation Tester

Akkodis is seeking an Automation Tester for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL
. The position focuses on designing and maintaining automated test suites while collaborating across teams to ensure end‑to‑end quality.

Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, and REST Assured for API automation.
• Build, optimize, and enhance automation frameworks including data‑driven, hybrid, and BDD models.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to define comprehensive test scenarios.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and track defects with clear documentation.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and Dev Ops teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform cross‑browser and regression testing while continuously improving test coverage and automation effectiveness.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in test automation and QA engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java, Selenium, REST Assured, and CI/CD tools as required by the client.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git, and Playwright (Type Script) as preferred by the client for automation and framework enhancement.

$47.00 to $49.00 per hour
