Method
360 is seeking a Senior SAP TPM Solution Consultant to serve as our lead solution authority on a high‑impact engagement with a $4B global company headquartered in Chicago. This is a hands‑on, senior‑level consulting role—not a staff augmentation position—where you will own the technical direction of the TPM solution remediation and optimization effort from day one.

Our client completed a greenfield S/4

HANA implementation in early 2024 that included SAP TPM as a core component of the platform. Since go‑live, the organization has been experiencing a range of technical and data‑related challenges that are materially impacting usability, user confidence, and internal adoption of the TPM solution. They need someone who has been through this before and can quickly establish credibility with their leadership team while diagnosing and resolving the issues at hand.

This engagement is structured in three phases, with the initial focus on stabilization and the potential for long‑term optimization:

• Phase 1 – System Discovery & Root Cause Analysis: Perform a comprehensive assessment of the client’s current SAP TPM environment within their S/4
  
  HANA landscape. This includes evaluating the solution design, configuration, data integration points, BW reporting, and overall platform stability. Identify the root causes of the technical and data issues impacting the TPM solution today, with a focus on what is driving poor usability and adoption challenges across people, process, and technology dimensions.
• Phase 2 – Tactical Remediation: Develop a prioritized remediation plan based on discovery findings and execute directly against identified issues. This is a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves engagement—you will be expected to configure, troubleshoot, and resolve issues hands‑on in the system while also serving as the design authority and technical advisor to both the client’s internal team and their existing 3rd‑party support provider.
• Phase 3 – Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO): Following stabilization, there is a strong opportunity for a longer‑term engagement to drive trade spend optimization, improve analytical capabilities, and implement enhancements that unlock the full potential of the SAP TPM platform for the client’s commercial organization.

• Lead the end‑to‑end system discovery effort across SAP CRM, TPM, and BW components within the client’s S/4
  
  HANA environment
• Rapidly identify root cause issues across solution design, configuration, data integration, and reporting that are driving the client’s current TPM challenges
• Develop and present a clear, actionable tactical remediation plan to client stakeholders that addresses near‑term stability and usability concerns
• Execute remediation activities directly—hands‑on configuration, troubleshooting, data analysis, and issue resolution within the SAP TPM and BW environment
• Serve as the primary design authority and solution advisor for all TPM‑related decisions, working collaboratively with the client’s internal teams and their 3rd‑party support partner
• Communicate effectively with senior client stakeholders, translating complex technical findings into clear business impact and recommended actions
• Assess and advise on people and process factors contributing to adoption challenges beyond the technical solution itself
• Support the transition from tactical remediation into longer‑term trade promotion optimization and solution enhancement opportunities

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP CRM, TPM (Trade Promotion Management), and SAP SD in enterprise environments
• Deep functional and technical expertise in SAP TPM solution design, configuration, implementation, assessment, and ongoing support
• Strong working knowledge of SAP BW as it relates to TPM reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements
• Proven track record of leading post‑go‑live stabilization, troubleshooting, and remediation efforts for SAP TPM implementations—specifically in environments where the solution was struggling with adoption and technical issues
