The Director, Technology Solutions serves as the strategic and operational owner of Citrus’ Speakers Bureau technology ecosystem. This pivotal role ensures that Citrus’ platform aligns with client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance requirements, and evolving business needs, while delivering a reliable and scalable experience for internal teams, speakers, and clients.
This position is not focused on IT support; rather, it is a business-critical leadership role responsible for managing client implementations, product launches, enhancements, and revenue-enabling technology strategies across the Speakers Bureau.
In this capacity, you will act as the bridge between Citrus, clients, and the technology team, ensuring that technology underpins commercial success, operational efficiency, and compliance. Technology has become the backbone of Speakers Bureau success. This role ensures that Citrus can scale, maintain compliance, expedite launches, and protect revenue without overburdening teams or risking audits. Key Responsibilities- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Speakers Bureau technology solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-lives, and post-launch adoption for new clients and major platform enhancements.
- Translate client SOPs, workflows, and compliance needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Ensure that technology facilitates, rather than obstructs, bureau operations, financial workflows, and reporting.
- Oversee technology readiness for new client onboarding, product launches, and major program expansions.
- Collaborate with Client Services and Operations to ensure platforms are fully configured, tested, and ready prior to program launches.
- Manage UAT planning, test execution, defect management, and release certification.
- Drive the roadmap for technology enhancements in collaboration with Extend Med and Citrus leadership.
- Identify opportunities where technology can:
- Enhance compliance
- Boost revenue
- Improve forecasting, reporting, and visibility
- Monitor and support revenue opportunities driven by enhancements across clients.
- Create and deliver training for:
- Internal teams
- Clients
- Speakers and vendors
- Develop documentation, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistent system use and data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with Client Engagement, Operations, Compliance, and Finance to ensure technology aligns with:
- Accruals
- Work in Progress (WIP) tracking
- Compliance and audit requirements
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients regarding Speakers Bureau technology strategy.
You are a unique combination of pharma Speakers Bureau expert and technology leader. You possess a deep understanding of how Speakers Bureau programs operate and how technology must simultaneously support compliance, finance, and client experience. You are adept at managing implementations, challenging inadequate requirements, and making decisions that safeguard data integrity, scalability, and revenue.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical Speakers Bureau operations or planning with a strong technology focus
- Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements and translating them into effective software solutions
- Experience in supporting:
- New product introductions
- Strong understanding of PhRMA, Sunshine Act, and healthcare compliance
- Experience working with development teams and managing UAT and defect resolution
- Ability to train end users and create professional training materials
- Experience with web-based databases; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
