System Implementation Specialist; WMS, TMS, YMS

The System Implementation Specialist supports the implementation, configuration, integration, and ongoing maintenance of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS). This role works closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and IT staff to ensure systems meet operational needs and deliver value to the organization.

• Assist in the deployment and configuration of WMS, TMS, and YMS solutions.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions with operations and logistics teams to capture current processes and desired improvements.
• Document functional requirements, business processes, and system workflows.
• Configure system modules such as inbound/outbound processing, inventory management, labor management, yard management, and transportation execution.
• Assist with system testing activities, including preparing test plans, executing test cases, tracking defects, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support data migration activities by validating data accuracy, preparing data templates, and uploading master and transactional data.
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting day-to-day system issues and escalating complex problems.
• Monitor system performance, identify recurring issues, and recommend configuration or process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams to implement patches, system upgrades, and enhancements.

• Support integration activities between WMS/TMS/YMS and ERP, OMS, EDI, carrier systems, and third-party applications.
• Assist in the creation and testing of interfaces, data mapping, and data validation.
• Troubleshoot integration and system issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Assist with system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.

• Maintain system documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in preparing and delivering user training and support materials.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to operations and IT teams.
• Work closely with IT, operations, logistics, and vendor teams to support system enhancements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to successful project delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in system implementation or support for WMS, TMS, or YMS.
• Basic understanding of warehouse, transportation, and yard operations.
• Familiarity with system integration methods (APIs, EDI, flat files).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Experience with platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM/TM, Oracle WMS/TMS, or similar.
• Exposure to warehouse automation systems (WCS, conveyors, robotics).
• Project coordination or IT project support experience.
• Experience in multi-site or large-scale distribution environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS solutions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to distribution centers or project sites as needed.
