REPORTS TO: Salesforce Administrator & IT Manager

STATUS: Non Exempt, Full-time

LOCATION: Chicago, Illinois (currently hybrid remote/in-office schedule)

SALARY RANGE: $47,009 - $62,370 (range commensurate with experience)

Position Summary

The Salesforce Coordinator supports the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of All Chicago’s Salesforce platform. This role partners closely with the Salesforce Administrator and IT Manager and focuses on building and improving Salesforce functionality, streamlining workflows, and helping staff succeed in using the system.

The ideal candidate has prior Salesforce experience, a strong learning mindset, and a collaborative, people-first approach. This role is well suited for someone early in their Salesforce administrator career who is excited to improve processes, test and document changes, and support staff through releases and training. Work will be assigned and prioritized in partnership with the Salesforce Administrator, with mentorship and support provided.

Position responsibilities and work volume will be established and evaluated through ongoing supervision, annual reviews, and the development of an annual professional development plan.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Build and Customization
    • Support the ongoing development and improvement of All Chicago’s Salesforce instance by assisting with configuration and build work.
    • Build and update Salesforce components, including custom objects and fields, record types, page layouts, Lightning record pages, validation rules, and permission sets.
    • Support flow work by building and updating automation components, testing changes, and troubleshooting issues.
    • Participate in gathering requirements from staff, translating needs into Salesforce solutions, and implementing approved enhancements with attention to usability and consistency.
    • Assist with standardizing and streamlining processes and data entry practices across programs to reduce manual work and improve system consistency.
    • Support tools and systems that integrate with Salesforce (Form Assembly and other connected apps used in core workflows).
    • Support change management practices by using sandboxes as needed, documenting changes, and assisting with release communication and end-user readiness.
  • User Adoption/Database Administration
    • Provide day-to-day Salesforce support to staff, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the Salesforce Administrator on complex items and escalations.
    • Support user administration, including user setup and access updates, roles, profiles, and permission sets, aligned with security best practices.
    • Support onboarding and role-based training for staff, including creating and updating internal documentation, quick guides, and simple training materials.
    • Assist with system updates and releases by helping communicate changes clearly, supporting rollout activities, and responding to post-release questions.
  • Impact and Reporting
    • Assist with basic reporting needs by building or refining reports and dashboards for operational use, in partnership with program and data staff.
