Director, Infrastructure

We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Director of IT Infrastructure to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure across our corporate, retail, and manufacturing environments. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on enterprise networking, Public Cloud (AWS & Azure), Microsoft technology stack, and end‑user computing services.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep technical expertise, operational leadership, and executive presence, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑relevant language for stakeholders at all levels. This is a Chicagoland‑based hybrid position, with in‑office presence as needed.

• Escalated Support: Provide high‑level technical support throughout the organization and partner with Service Delivery teams to resolve critical issues.
• Site Operations: Lead teams in managing infrastructure for retail and specialized production facilities, including new site openings, relocations, and expansions.
• Operational Continuity: Work with business operations to ensure seamless IT changes without impacting production or retail processes.
• Governance: Oversee the operations of IT systems to fulfill business needs and provide input to the broader IT leadership team.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure infrastructure services comply with industry regulations, cybersecurity standards, and internal policies.
• Resiliency: Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
• Mentorship: Train and guide staff members on their professional development and career journey.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
• Experience: 10+ years in system, platform, or Dev Ops roles with progressive responsibility.
• Management: 5+ years of experience leading system engineering or infrastructure teams.
• Cloud Ecosystems: Extensive experience with server management and integration with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS

• Security & Automation: Deep expertise in identity and access management (IAM) and process/workflow automation.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of Configuration Management, Incident Management, Dev Ops, and Security Audits.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a demanding, fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Professionalism: High level of critical thinking, integrity, and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
• Regulatory Alignment: Must understand and comply with complex regional regulations and internal corporate policies.
