Job Description: We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to manage desktop support and AV (Audio Visual) for our client's corporate headquarters providing white glove support. This is a 12 month+ contract/contract to hire role qualified candidates must be able to work on site 5 days a week in the Chicago office when needed, Qualified candidates will be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsor ships now or in the future.
This role primarily supports users and Executives on-site 5 days a week. Qualified candidates will have experience supporting Windows and AV user environments. The focus of this role will be supporting the conference rooms and AV equipment, specifically Crestron. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Executives in a corporate enterprise environment. In the role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining a Windows 11 and Microsoft O365 environment and AV for conference rooms.
Ensuring efficient operation of mainly Lenovo laptops/desktops systems and AV for multiple conference rooms. This team consists of 11 team members and the role is open due to increased workflow and company growth.
- Experience: 2-4 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment, particularly with desktop refresh processes, breakfix, and ticketing.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft products (Windows 11, Office 365, and AV support), and familiarity with Lenovo hardware. (diagnosing, resolving issues, desk side and ticketing) - Technical must have:
Crestrons and Microsoft Teams - Must have experience supporting AV in a corporate setting interfacing in person with staff and executives
- Must have experience supporting AV (Wireless connectivity, presentation tools (projectors, screens, white boards etc.))
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently under pressure.
- Service Now
Experience:
Familiarity with ticketing systems, particularly Service Now. - Mobility: Some experience with mobile support is a plus, though not a primary focus.
- On-Site Availability: Must be available to work on-site five days a week, starting at 7:00 or 7:30 AM. Must be able to work onsite in downtown Chicago and Northbrook IL. Must have excellent communication, in-person and email, and phone customer service skills.
- Our client's technical environment is: Crestron Shop, Zoom, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface Hubs = The ideal candidate will have experience with these products.
- Desktop Support: Provide hands‑on support for desktop systems, including Windows 11 and Office 365, ensuring quick resolution of issues.
- Conference Room Technology: Manage and support all conference room equipment, primarily utilizing Microsoft Teams.
- Troubleshooting: Handle refresh builds, break/fix scenarios, and ticket overloads using Service Now for efficient ticketing and issue tracking.
- Field Support: Assist field engineers as needed to support Microsystems for members in the field.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and report to the team lead to manage workflow and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
- Teamwork: Contribute to a team of 11 professionals, collaborating effectively to meet departmental goals.
Compensation range starting at $30-$40/hr
