Overview

Senior Manager, Product Management - Developer Experience. This role focuses on strategic product management to reimagine value creation and deliver innovative customer experiences through technology.

The team is hiring multiple positions across the following areas:

• Observability - Enable IT teams to perform proactive monitoring, leverage telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) to detect anomalies, identify issues before they impact users, gain real-time visibility into network performance, and derive actionable insights for faster incident response to deliver seamless connectivity and optimize user experiences.

• Drive 3rd party and internal tools to support dependency mapping, audit trails (applied to applications), application performance monitoring, and event correlation.

• R2E - Drive tools to support SRE, Incident and Resilience practices; support the developer journey driving automated onboarding, visibility, and auto instrumentation; focus on minimizing the mean time to resolve (MTTR) through automation, process optimization and automated incident response.

• Asset Management/Service Now - Own the overall process and drive a unified system of record across Capital One Cloud, non-Cloud and Digital Assets utilizing a defined asset repository; support service mapping and dependencies in a structured CMDB, and drive request, incident, response, and change; implement automated discovery (e.g., Service Now Discovery) to ensure cloud, hardware and software match.

In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which are the foundation for successful product management:

• At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
Plano, TX: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
