Legal Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Analyst to support our Legal Operations function. This role sits at the intersection of legal, technology, and business operations, and will play a critical role in optimizing processes, managing contract workflows, and driving operational excellence across the legal team.

Ironclad experience is required for this role.

• Support and administer legal operations platforms, including Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), e-billing, and document management systems. Serve as a primary resource for Ironclad administration, troubleshooting, system updates, and workflow enhancements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize requirements within CLM systems and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Manage commercial contract signature routing in compliance with global signature policies, including Docu Sign updates and manual routing when required.
• Administer contracts within the management system, ensuring accurate data entry, metadata tagging, and repository maintenance.
• Develop and present reporting and dashboards on legal operations KPIs, workflow efficiency, and contract cycle times. Support data collection and analysis to inform process improvements and measure legal’s impact on the business.
• Assist in designing and facilitating legal enablement programs, including training sessions, FAQs, user guides, and policy updates to drive adoption of legal tools and processes.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, IT, and other business functions. Serve as the go-to resource for legal operations tickets, troubleshooting, and user support.

• 3–6 years of experience in in-house legal operations, operations, or procurement, ideally within a high-growth technology company.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required.
• Hands-on experience with Ironclad (required) and familiarity with tools such as Brightflag, Salesforce, Docu Sign, and other legal operations platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into meaningful business recommendations.
• Experience using Asana or similar project management tools to drive workflow efficiency and automation, or the demonstrated ability to quickly become a “power user.”
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex processes for diverse audiences. Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to leverage them to enhance productivity and decision-making.
