Job DescriptionRockwell Automation is seeking a results‑driven, consultative Industry Principal (CPG - Food & Beverage, Household Goods and Personal Care) to lead our Secure Digital Operations business helping clients build resilient, secure, data‑driven operations across the value chain. You'll lead complex sales pursuits that drive customer outcomes leveraging Strategic Advisory, Data Science & AI, Enterprise Software & Technology, Industrial Cybersecurity, and Managed Services.
Our Secure Digital Operations team connects and protects operations through advanced technologies and reliable infrastructure, enabled by an open IT/OT architecture delivering process optimization, asset health and reliability, and secure connected operations. You will report to the RVP, Secure Digital Operations and work either remotely from anywhere in the United States or in a hybrid capacity from one of our Rockwell Automation office locations depending on your location.
Responsibilities
- Lead Transformational Sales: Drive strategic, digital transformation pursuits across the CPG Industry.
- Own the Commercial Strategy: Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to close, across our Secure Digital Operations solution areas.
- Engage Executive Stakeholders: Build and deepen relationships with business and technical leaders across IT, OT, and C‑suite.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with technical domain experts, delivery leaders, and account teams to shape value‑driven solutions.
- Shape Demand and Grow Pipeline: Identify new opportunities by understanding customer pain points, trends, and priorities.
- Drive Outcomes, Not Just Deals: Focus on long‑term value creation, not transactional sales. Your success is measured by client success.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- The ability to travel 40% of the time.
- Typically requires 12+ years experience.
- Degree in engineering, computer science, data science, cybersecurity, supply chain, business or other technical degrees or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise or complex B2B sales
- 5+ years of experience in complex enterprise or consultative sales (solutions, services, or software), within industrial, manufacturing, or OT environments.
- Experience selling digital solutions like AI/ML, cybersecurity, industrial SaaS, IIoT, or OT optimization.
- Experience with product development, manufacturing, industrial automation, or digital transformation consulting
- Familiarity with MES, PLM, cybersecurity, industrial AI/ML, or cloud platforms.

For this role, the Total Target Compensation range is from $ - $ of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
