Senior Network Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a highly collaborative infrastructure team supporting a large, global enterprise environment. This is a senior-level individual contributor role focused on designing, implementing, and supporting complex Cisco-based network infrastructure across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with deep experience in Cisco networking (routing, switching, wireless) who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. This role involves ownership of advanced networking projects, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and participation in on-call rotations and project-based travel.

• Design, implement, and support advanced enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, load balancers, and WAN technologies
• Provide hands-on support for Cisco LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and load-balancing environments
• Lead and execute complex networking projects, including new service rollouts, office buildouts, and hardware refreshes
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; proactively identify and recommend improvements
• Troubleshoot escalated network issues using packet capture, monitoring, and diagnostic tools
• Manage and upgrade Internet, MPLS, point-to-point circuits, and cloud connectivity
• Collaborate with security teams on firewall, VPN, and network security initiatives
• Work closely with architects and engineers to define standards, review designs, and ensure high availability
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and controls
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours work for installs, maintenance, and incident response
• Support business continuity planning and testing efforts
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and propose improvements that enhance reliability and performance

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
• Deep hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies
  , including routing, switching, and wireless
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoS, IPSEC, VPN)
• Strong experience with Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus, Meraki SD-WAN, and Cisco wireless infrastructure
• Experience with load balancing, network virtualization, and WAN technologies
• Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network topologies
• Experience managing telecommunications circuits and coordinating with service providers
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts across Azure and AWS
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and network management tools
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP or higher)
• Experience with F5 load balancers
• Exposure to network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center, Thousand Eyes, or Solar Winds
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Infoblox, or packet analysis tools (Wireshark or similar)
• Familiarity with modern security and networking solutions (ZTNA, SASE, SWG, DLP)
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows administration
