Data Center Move Technician

Description

This role is in support of our current SDE (Service Delivery Engineers) at on our SRD (Single-Resource Deployment) Managed Service. This consultant will be responsible for showing up to customers Data Center and assisting the Engineer with lifting and moving hardware equipment.

They will be traveling around to different data centers in their region (around 100-200mi radius). They will need access to transportation inside of 50 mi; outside of 50 mi, they need to have a valid drivers license and ability to have a car rented for them. Ideally we are looking for candidates with a background in Data Center hardware installation – the goal is to upskill their experience and they will have the opportunity to shadow the installation of these products for the goal of training them to potentially become Service Delivery Engineers in the future.

Provider’s Lift Assist Support Specialist will be responsible for the following:

• Unpack and inspect hardware
• Rack, mount, and/or position the product & components
• Install solution specific chassis components
• Move used packaging materials to trash and recycling facility or other designated area within the immediate installation location
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

This is a Contract position that will last 1 month.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
