We are partnering with a world-leading quantitative trading and technology firm to hire multiple Senior Site Reliability Engineers across Chicago and select remote teams.
This organization operates some of the most performance-critical systems in the world. Reliability, automation, and operational excellence are non-negotiable. These roles sit within a high-impact production engineering group responsible for maintaining and improving large-scale, latency-sensitive infrastructure.
We are looking for engineers who thrive in high-stakes environments, take full ownership of systems, and bring deep operational judgment.
The RoleAs a Senior SRE / Production Engineer, you will:
- Own reliability and performance of critical production systems
- Participate in and improve on-call and incident management processes
- Design and build monitoring, alerting, and automation tooling
- Drive root cause analysis and postmortems
- Improve observability and system resilience
- Partner closely with engineering and infrastructure teams
- Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and uptime
This is not a pure development role. Candidates must have meaningful production/on-call experience.
What We’re Looking For- 5+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in an active on-call rotation
- Proven incident management experience in high-availability environments
- Strong coding ability (Python preferred; other languages welcome)
- Experience building monitoring, observability, or reliability tooling
Strong preference for engineers from large-scale tech environments (e.g., major cloud providers, streaming platforms, hyperscale infrastructure companies) or similarly complex production environments.
