The OpportunityAn elite trading firm is seeking a hands-on HPC Engineer to design, build, and scale next-generation compute and storage systems.
The ideal candidate comes from a world-class HPC environment—such as FAANG, research, or hyperscale infrastructure—and combines deep Linux expertise with software engineering skills.
You’ll work on uniquely customized systems at scale, where every engineering decision impacts performance, reliability, and research productivity.
Core Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance compute and storage environments.
- Develop and support systems for performance and fault monitoring.
- Optimise end-to-end infrastructure components within the data center.
- Contribute to codebases and testing frameworks across multiple programming languages.
- Collaborate globally on infrastructure projects and vendor relationships.
- Work directly with quantitative researchers to optimize workloads on HPC systems.
- Ultra-low latency, high-throughput trading infrastructure where optimization directly drives performance.
- HPC and simulation platforms supporting large-scale ML and AI pipelines.
- Integration of open-source and custom tools to enhance automation, reliability, and visibility.
- Strategic infrastructure initiatives shaping the next generation of compute systems.
