This role demands strong experience with Windows servers, co-located data centers, and Azure Cloud platforms. You will develop and deploy servers, support daily operations, and protect data and system integrity. The position provides back-end IT support for key business and development teams. You will lead infrastructure modernization, drive cloud adoption, automate processes, and manage core systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage Microsoft, Linux, VMware, and Azure resources
  • Install and configure Windows servers
  • Support users and ensure reliable server performance
  • Oversee virtualization (VMware Server/ESX)
  • Maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Apply expertise in Application Insights, Azure services, Databricks and Dev Ops
  • Provide technical support and resolve server-related issues
  • Debug and maintain Windows programs for end users
  • Review backups, error logs, and resolve system errors
  • Monitor and optimize performance, set proactive alerts
  • Maintain system security and address vulnerabilities
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards and policies
  • Participate in troubleshooting, on-call, and after-hours support

Who You Are

  • You demonstrate 8 years of experience in Windows administration and at least 2 years working with Azure. You are known for your flexibility, reliability, and collaborative approach.
  • Skilled in Windows/Linux administration and virtualization (VMware)
  • Azure certification preferred; experience with Azure, Windows Server, and Dev Ops
  • Familiar with monitoring tools and backup/disaster recovery
    - Rubrik, Azure backup vault
  • Automation:
    Terraform, Ansible, Power Shell/Bash scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and documentation skills

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $115,000- $135,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
