Position OverviewAt Highwire, our Account Executives are passionate communicators and team players who help bring client programs to life. On our Professional Services team, you'll work with leading and emerging brands in financial services, insurance technology, consulting, and other advisory-driven industries. You'll support media relations, content development, and client program execution that help our clients stand out in complex markets.
You bring 2–3 years of public relations or communications experience, in an agency environment and within the financial or professional services sectors. You're a strong writer, proactive problem solver, and eager to grow your skills in media relations, client management, and strategic storytelling.
What You'll Do Client Service & Program Support- Support day-to-day contact for client teams and help manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in client calls and contribute to status updates, coverage reports, and next-step planning.
- Support program execution across media relations, awards, speaking, and thought leadership campaigns.
- Research industry trends, competitors, and breaking news to identify media or commentary opportunities.
- Support media outreach efforts by building and maintaining journalist lists and researching new opportunities.
- Draft and send high-quality media pitches and press materials that align with client goals.
- Help monitor and report on media coverage and trends in business, finance, and professional services.
- Assist in developing and managing clients' social media and amplification strategies, especially on Linked In.
- Draft and edit PR materials, including press releases, pitches, blogs, bios, and award submissions.
- Translate complex business or financial topics into clear, engaging stories.
- Ensure consistency in tone, quality, and key messaging across all written content.
- Track and analyze media results, providing clear reports and takeaways for clients.
- Help identify ways to use analytics and media performance data to strengthen storytelling and outreach.
- Collaborate with internal teams (content, design, digital) to ensure integrated program delivery.
- Work closely with senior team members to support strategy execution and learn best practices.
- Take initiative on projects, communicate progress clearly, and seek feedback regularly.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture built on respect and accountability.
- 2–3 years of PR or communications experience, in an agency environment
- Familiarity or interest in financial services, insurtech, or professional services industries
- Strong writing and editing skills across a variety of formats
- A growing network of media contacts and enthusiasm for media relations
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- A proactive, flexible, and collaborative attitude
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools (a plus)
The salary range for this position is $54,000 to $62,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Location& Work Environment
Highwire offers both remote and hybrid work options, depending on where you live.
Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with two in-office days per week.
Remote: We hire for fully remote roles in the following states:
