Domain Expert, Accounting and Close – SAP Office of CRO
Join SAP as a Domain Expert in Accounting and Close, reporting to the Finance, Risk & Q2C Chief Revenue Office (CRO). The successful candidate will drive end‑to‑end go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies for the sub‑solution area, working closely with partners, marketing, digital hubs, and customer success teams to grow revenue and expand the customer base.

- Design and execute GTM strategies for the sub‑solution area, providing strategic input and direction for transformation programs.
- Collaborate with Partner, Marketing, Digital Hub, Presales and Customer Success Management (CSM) teams to develop a holistic approach to meet KPI goals, including revenue and pipeline objectives.
- Develop overall strategy and planning across the GTM cycle, multi‑year business planning and financial planning processes.
- Contribute to LOB Strategy Documents, Growth Priorities, Market Sentiment Reviews, Board QBRs, marketing documents, and demo scripts.
- Coordinate sales and consumption plays/programs and campaigns.
- Support the creation and development of Sales Plays in conjunction with Product Marketing.
- Serve as the strategic point of contact for CFOs in the region, providing tailored insights, solutions, and thought leadership aligned to their business priorities.
- Act as the go‑to expert on market trends and customer needs, translating insights into actionable strategies for go‑to‑market priorities, product direction, and customer engagement.
- Partner closely with demand management teams to align strategy and maintain a healthy pipeline.
- Collaborate with local partners on thought‑leadership events and collateral.
- Develop sales strategies with Solex partners within the sub‑solution area.
- Deeply understand SAP Accounting & Financial Close solutions, including Group Reporting, Central Finance, Advanced Financial Close, Intelligent Real Estate Management, SAP Green Ledger, Walk‑me Premium for Finance, and EPM solutions such as SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning, Insight, Black Line, Planon, Honeywell Forge Real Estate, and K2
Fly Infoscope. - Support the evolving EPM strategy with the sub‑solution area lead for Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Drive in‑region market awareness through event presentations, partner engagement, market unit enablement, and thought‑leadership activities (blogs, white papers, etc.).
- Share knowledge with a global network of sub‑solution area domain experts across Finance & Spend.
- Work with regional/MU sales organizations, partners, solution management, value engineering & consulting services to support lighthouse customer success cases.
- 10+ years of experience in large, multi‑national software/IT environments with demonstrated expertise in SAP Finance, SAP Accounting, SAP Financial Close (current & legacy), SAP ERP, SAP S/4
HANA, and SAP Business Suite & Cloud ERP. - Experience in presales, consulting or direct customer engagement within SAP environments, especially for complex manufacturing, supply‑chain, and finance requirements.
- Knowledge of cloud models (B2B, B2C, SaaS/PaaS) and hosted or managed services.
- Recognized as a solutions/LOB expert across SAP or comparable firms, leveraging an extensive network to drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Strong executive‑level customer‑facing experience.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
MBA or equivalent degree from an accredited university is preferred. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset. Proficiency in the solution portfolio and executive speaking & presenting (C‑level) are essential.
