Department Overview

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Enterprise Products & Platforms (EPP) Team, focused on Legal Operations, including Legal Spend, Document Management and Matters Management. The Manager, Technical Product Management owns end-to-end technology product delivery, leads and inspires the working team. To be successful in the true sense of Agile and Product management, the TPM must be empowered to influence and challenge stakeholders as necessary to deliver the most appropriate, efficient, and optimal solution to solve business and end users  challenges.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Product Strategy and Roadmap definition
  • Manages iManage and ONIT and/or suite of products with business impact.
  • Works with business partners to define the Legal Operations vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Partners with business leaders, delivery teams, and/or architects to determine the long-term viability of systems/products from business and technology standpoints.
  • Requirements gathering and prioritization – translate customer needs into product features
  • Cross-functional collaboration – ensure alignment across product priorities and timelines
  • Feature development and release management
  • Vendor Management
  • Oversee relationships with legal technology vendors including selection, contract negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
  • Monitor vendor service levels, escalate issues as needed, and drive resolution of platform-related incidents or outages.
  • Evaluate new vendors and technologies for potential adoption, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
  • Compliance & Data Protection
    • Ensure all legal operations platforms and processes comply with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal company policies.
    • Develop and maintain retention policies for legal documents and data, coordinating with legal, compliance, and IT teams.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection inquiries, incident response, audit and regulatory reporting related to legal operations technology.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, and regulatory changes impacting legal operations.
  • User Experience (UX) Design
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers (as needed) to create intuitive and user-friendly product interfaces. Ensure usability standards and alignment with the product vision and brand identity.
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence
  • Stay informed about CLM market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
  • Data-Driven Problem Solving & Decision Making
  • Decomposes complex problems into straightforward solutions. Uses user feedback, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions; monitors KPIs and iterates on features.
  • Continuous Improvement and Feedback
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback and iterating on the product roadmap to drive innovation.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
