ABIC is seeking a highly skilled, mission-driven social media and digital content leader who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on content creator who knows how to tell stories that grow an audience across multiple platforms and inspire action. This individual will manage and execute all aspects of ABIC’s social media presence—strategy, content production, rapid response, community growth, influencer engagement, and spokesperson social media training.
The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with the immigration policy landscape, understands how to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences, and knows how to translate policy into compelling, accessible, platform-native content. Spanish language fluency is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Platform Management- Lead content creation tied to ABIC campaigns to grow audience and support across multiple platforms
- Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-platform social media strategy aligned with ABIC’s mission and advocacy priorities.
- Create and manage daily videos and content operations across Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Facebook, X/Twitter, Linked In, and emerging channels.
- Determine best practices for timing, cadence, and content distribution using data and real-time indicators.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, tools, and political digital culture.
- Serve as ABIC’s lead content creator
, producing high-impact short-form and long-form videos, graphics, explainers, and narrative digital content on a daily basis - Turn complex immigration policy proposals, fact sheets, and research into accessible, engaging social content.
- Capture on-the-ground moments from ABIC events, briefings, and actions for rapid deployment.
- Own content planning, creative direction, scripting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing.
- Monitor political developments, news cycles, Congressional activity, and immigration-related trends to identify rapid-response moments.
- Create and publish timely, accurate, compelling content within hours or minutes of key developments.
- Coordinate with communications staff to ensure message discipline, policy accuracy, and alignment with ABIC’s advocacy goals.
- Maintain flexibility to mobilize quickly during moments of urgency.
- Build relationships with digital creators, immigrant advocates, business leaders, and aligned influencers who can amplify ABIC’s work.
- Oversee outreach, onboarding, collaboration, and content review for all influencer activations.
- Develop a trusted roster of partners ready to activate during major moments.
- Develop a vibrant, engaged online community that includes immigrant entrepreneurs, business leaders, workers, allies, and policymakers.
- Manage comments, messages, and audience engagement with an authentic, informative, mission-driven voice.
- Create engagement-driven campaigns, challenges, live sessions, and interactive formats.
- Train ABIC staff, coalition partners, and spokespeople—including immigrant leaders and business owners—on how to create and publish effective social content.
- Provide coaching on on-camera presence, platform best practices, talking points, and rapid-response readiness.
- Develop toolkits, templates, and platform-specific guidelines.
- Track KPIs, produce regular reports, and analyze performance to refine strategy.
- Use insights to optimize content formats, posting times, tone, and targeting.
- Monitor competitor and peer accounts for benchmarking and inspiration.
- Work closely with ABIC communications, policy, organizing, and executive teams.
- Coordinate with external freelancers, videographers, and digital vendors as needed.
- Manage social media workflows, editorial calendars, and budgets.
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in social media, digital content creation, or digital communications.
- Deep understanding of the immigration policy space, including legislative processes, worker issues, business needs, and advocacy messaging.
