Our direct client a large American global hospitality company is seeking to hire for the role of Senior Technical Business Analyst / Data Architect.

Senior Technical Business Analyst / Data Architect

150 N Riverside Plaza, Chicago IL (Hybrid 3 days/week onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs)

6 months | 40% Remote

Pay rate: $70/HR W2 (negotiable) | No third-party candidates

The role is approximately 50% data-focused and 50% business-focused.

While loyalty program experience is preferred, it is not mandatory if the candidate is strong otherwise.

Seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst/Data Architect for a hybrid role, focusing on building internal components for their loyalty system. This involves analyzing existing IT data, identifying data needs, and integrating it into the loyalty system. The role requires strong data analysis skills, understanding various datasets, and merging them effectively. Additionally, the candidate must perform business analysis, communicate with business teams to gather requirements, understand transaction types, and identify information needed to expand loyalty system capabilities.

• Deep diving into existing databases (system databases and internal data warehouse) to understand table layouts and data types.
• Determining how different systems (e.g., state data, reservation data) connect and documenting these connections.
• Collaborating with business teams to understand their objectives for the loyalty system, promotions, and state-specific needs.
• Documenting technical requirements for the development team and business senior leadership.

The ideal candidate is a data analyst/architect with strong business acumen, capable of extracting and documenting business requirements from senior team members.

• Experience with data architecture and relevant projects.
• Business analysis experience, including working with executives.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in technologies such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Kafka, Airbyte, AWS, and Azure. Snowflake is currently the top priority, followed by cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Kafka, and Airbyte.
