The CIBC Bank USA Data Management Office (DMO) plays a critical role in managing and governing the bank's data assets to support strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Its primary focus is to ensure that data is accurate, secure, accessible, and aligned with the organization’s business objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Intake & Data Analytics Consultant withing the Data Management Office within Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation (TI&I) is responsible for driving efficiency and strategic alignment across the organization. The Intake Manager and Consultant in Enterprise Data Analytics will oversee the structured intake of requests and projects, ensuring transparency, prioritization, and optimal resource allocation to meet organizational goals. The Consultant in Enterprise Data Analytics will leverage data expertise to uncover critical insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making to enhance operational performance and competitiveness.

Together, this role is essential in fostering organizational agility, optimizing processes, and enabling the achievement of long-term strategic objectives in a dynamic, data-driven environment.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Request Management – Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming project and initiative requests, ensuring a streamlined and efficient intake process. Review and assess each request to confirm alignment with organizational objectives and strategic priorities, enabling the effective allocation of resources.
  • Prioritization & Evaluation – This role focuses on collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate the feasibility, impact, and urgency of incoming requests to ensure a comprehensive and informed assessment process. It also involves facilitating prioritization meetings with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive alignment on key initiatives and resource allocation.
  • Process Optimization – Continuously improving the intake process is essential to enhance both efficiency and transparency, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders. This involves identifying bottlenecks within workflows and implementing effective solutions to streamline operations.
  • Technology – Leverage advanced data analytics skills to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets using tools such as SQL, Power BI, and similar platforms. Responsibilities include creating dynamic dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Relationship Management – Acting as a bridge between requestors and internal teams, it is important to ensure clear communication of requirements and expectations while providing regular updates to stakeholders on the status of their requests.
  • Reporting and Analytics – Generating comprehensive reports on intake metrics, including volume, processing times, and outcomes, while leveraging advanced data analytics skills to interpret trends and patterns. By providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on thorough data analysis, this approach supports informed decision-making and drives continuous improvement in processes.
