Systems Administrator, IT Support, Network Administrator, Systems Engineer
We are looking for a versatile, hands-on IT Network & Security Administrator to join our team. This is a critical role that balances long‑term infrastructure projects with high‑level technical support. You will be a leader for setting up IT infrastructure at our new hospital locations and on the team that is the final point of escalation for complex technical issues that the Service Desk cannot resolve.
If you enjoy a mix of "on‑the‑ground" deployment, server/network architecture, and solving technical puzzles, this role is for you.
- Infrastructure & New Site Deployment
- New Hospital Launch Team:
Travel to new hospital sites to lead the physical and logistical setup of IT infrastructure. - Network Installation:
Configure and install network switches, Wireless Access Points, and ensure seamless connectivity between sites and data centers. - Server & Systems Build:
Build and deploy servers; manage Active Directory security groups, distribution groups, folder structures, and file shares. - Policy Management:
Configure and implement computer policies and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure security and standardization across the fleet. - Advanced Technical Escalation (Tier 2/3)
- Senior Escalation Point:
Act as the final point of resolution for the Service Desk. - Clinical & Business App Support:
Troubleshoot complex issues within healthcare‑specific systems (Well Sky, Pyxis) and corporate tools. - Network Troubleshooting:
Resolve complex connectivity issues including VPN/Vendor VPNs, Edge Network (Nitel) troubleshooting, and general Wi‑Fi/Internet performance. - Data Recovery:
Manage and execute restores backup infrastructure - Integration Coordination:
Work directly with vendors like Well Sky and Pyxis to ensure medical systems have the necessary connectivity and uptime.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years in Systems Administration or Network Engineering, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Technical Proficiency:
Strong experience with Active Directory management, O365 administration, Network Infrastructure. - Proven ability to configure and deploy network hardware (Switches, WAPs).
- Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with backup/restore solutions
- The "Generalist" Mindset: A proactive "whatever it takes" attitude toward solving problems, from complex server outages to general maintenance and "pop‑up" daily issues.
- Travel:
Ability to travel as needed to support new hospital openings or other projects.
