This role serves as a Senior Security Analyst for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the Get Covered Illinois (GCI) Program under the Department of Insurance (DOI).

Responsibilities include:

• Managing cybersecurity risk, adhering to NIST SP 800‑53 Rev. 5 and other federal frameworks, including CMS guidelines for Health Insurance Marketplace Information Systems.
• Coordinating network planning, administration, and operations for the HIX platform and related systems.
• Leading highly complex projects, planning, developing, and implementing data collection techniques.
• Acting as IT liaison with third‑party vendors, other state agencies, and federal entities.
• Keeping up to date on IT developments through education (online training, meetings, seminars, conferences).
• Performing other duties as reasonably assigned within scope.

Minimum qualifications:

• Four (4) years of college with coursework in computer science or related fields.
• Three (3) years of professional experience in security or a related IT field.
