Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer with proven expertise in end-to-end system design to lead the user experience strategy and execution for complex, enterprise-scale digital platforms. This role requires a strong ability to translate business objectives, technical constraints, and user needs into cohesive, scalable, and intuitive system designs across multiple applications and user types.

The ideal candidate has experience designing entire systems from concept through delivery, including information architecture, interaction models, workflows, and design governance, and can effectively collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Your future duties and responsibilities End-to-End System Design
  • Lead UX design for full systems, not just individual screens or features.
  • Define system-level UX architecture, including navigation models, interaction patterns, and cross-application workflows.
  • Ensure consistency and usability across modules, platforms, and user roles.
  • Design for scalability, extensibility, and long-term maintainability.
User Research & Experience Strategy
  • Plan and conduct user research (interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing).
  • Synthesize insights into personas, journey maps, and experience principles.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design decisions.
  • Balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints.
Interaction Design & Information Architecture
  • Create information architecture, user flows, and task models for complex systems.
  • Design low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Define interaction behaviors, states, and error handling patterns.
  • Design for accessibility, usability, and inclusive experiences (WCAG).
Design Systems & Standards
  • Contribute to or lead the creation and evolution of design systems.
  • Define reusable components, patterns, and UX guidelines.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure design system adoption and consistency.
  • Establish UX governance to support multiple teams and products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with product managers to shape requirements and roadmaps.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure feasible and high-quality implementations.
  • Collaborate with researchers, content strategists, and visual designers.
  • Act as a UX advocate throughout the product lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Present design concepts, rationales, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Incorporate feedback while maintaining UX integrity and system coherence.
  • Communicate complex design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
  • 7+ years of professional UX design experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end systems (enterprise platforms, SaaS products, or complex workflows)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing system-level thinking, not just UI execution
  • Expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and user flows
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD)
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards and usability best practices
  • Experience working in Agile or product-led development environments
