Overview

The Solution Engineer is a role that we often hire  you are interested in any type of Solution Engineering role, you’re here! Reviewers and hiring managers will consider your application across multiple cloud offerings and verticals. Some positions may be office‑based, office‑flexible or remote depending on the team. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside customers, the Products team, and Professional Services to develop thoughtful solutions that help customers connect with their own clients in new ways.

It’s a dynamic, evolving environment that blends design, business consulting, and technology to drive innovation.

Roles We’re Looking to Fill

The SE team is organized into smaller teams based on the products or industry they are selling. The Solution Engineer role typically aligns with the Commercial or SMB market segment. We’re looking for Solution Engineers at various experience levels, from Associate to senior, based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  • A Solution Engineer plays a pivotal role in aligning innovative strategies to technology solutions within complex accounts, partnering with clients and collaborating with internal team members to drive consensus on multi‑product technology solutions across the various Salesforce product lines.
  • Solutions Engineers work on a wide array of assignments including business development, operations and IT strategies, and product demonstrations, acting as a trusted advisor for driving innovative solutions forward while improving business performance.
  • Business Problem Solving:
    Take ambiguous and sophisticated business problems and, using research and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend practical next steps.
  • Innovation Management:
    Bring focus to a client’s decision‑making process by communicating and evaluating solution options, and driving consensus among key collaborators. In some instances, we help clients develop new decision frameworks and governance processes that continue to deliver value beyond a particular engagement.
  • Connect Experiences:
    Demonstrate through software demos and rapid prototyping how connected experiences come to life with Salesforce Solutions.
  • Solutioning is fundamental to the SE role. It includes assisting the customer, Account Executive and Professional Services team with discovery, analysis, and ultimately the recommendation of strategic solutions for the customer by delivering transformational pitches based in live product demonstrations to validate.
