Client

Project Manager – SAP Implementation

As a Delivery Leader, you will manage engagements in IBM Consulting for SAP implementations. You will handle all elements of the program and contract to deliver a successful and profitable outcome for the client and IBM.

Your Role & Responsibilities

A Client Project Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end management and delivery of a successful and profitable SAP engagement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delight the client – Identify key stakeholders, create and maintain a stakeholder map, understand and manage client expectations, and develop and implement a communications plan.
• Manage the contract – Ensure all parties understand the contract, create Documents of Understanding (DoUs) when working with other business units, create a governance structure, and deliver against the contract.
• Execute flawlessly – Manage profitability, manage financials, manage all parties to achieve milestones, create and nurture the team, and work as a trusted advisor to the client.

Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.

This role can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

Must have had full end‑to‑end responsibility for delivery and financial performance for at least two SAP implementations with approximately 25 or more FTEs managed during these projects. Candidates should excel at:

• Negotiation and communication skills
• Advanced skills in Program and Project Management
• Extraordinary leadership and motivational skills
• Deep knowledge of client environments, business, industry, and SAP
• Ability to adopt a commercial mindset and deliver financially

Preferred Technical & Professional Experience

• SAP Certifications
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Certifications
• Agile Certifications
