Application Support

Position Overview

Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Hybrid work arrangement. Point of contact: TEKsystems. Expected closure date:
Jan 14, 2026.

• Triage & resolve support tickets per defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Investigate, analyze, and test application failures; perform statistical analyses and perform root‑cause investigations.
• Manage proactive issue resolution, document solutions, and follow up with requestors.
• Respond to off‑shift and weekend support calls for critical application/technical problems.
• Involve in application availability & performance monitoring.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management as needed.

• 2‑4 years of application support experience.
• Expertise with relational databases: querying and reporting, preferably Snowflake.
• Proficiency with AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, RDS, Cloud Formation, Dynamo
  
  DB, Lambda, Cloud Watch, IAM, Certificate Manager, ELB, EBS, ECS, Cloud Front/WAF, SQS, SNS, SES.
• Experience troubleshooting UI/API & data‑flow issues.
• Expertise with high‑availability architecture.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Thousand Eyes, App Dynamics, Grafana).

• Programming experience in Python, Power Shell, SQL & JSON.
• Knowledge of deploying autoscaling features (hands‑off support not required).

• College or university degree with 2‑4 years’ experience OR technical certification with 8 years’ experience.
• At least 2‑4 years of application support experience.
