Production Support Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Mandatory Skills- Windows Server OS basics (Services, Event Viewer, Task Scheduler)
- Basic SQL (MS SQL Server) querying
- Ticketing tools (Service Now, Jira)
- Monitoring tools (Nagios, Solar Winds, Splunk)
- Basic Power Shell scripting (optional)
- Strong communication and incident triage skills
- Basic SQL (MS SQL Server) querying
- Ticketing tools (Service Now, Jira)
- Monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Cloud Watch)
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents related to Windows servers and applications
- Perform root cause analysis using Windows Event Logs, IIS logs, and application logs
- Monitor and tune server and application performance
- Automate support tasks and monitoring using Power Shell scripting
- Support application deployments, patches, and configuration changes
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution
- Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
- Proactively monitor batch jobs, Windows services, and system health
- Participate in incident management and on‑call rotations
