OverviewThe Solution Engineer role is a key contributor to our sales organization. The SE works closely with customers and internal teams to design, demonstrate, and validate solutions that drive customer value across the Salesforce product line.
Responsibilities- A Solution Engineer plays a pivotal role to align innovative strategies to technology solutions within complex accounts.
- Work on a wide range of assignments including business development, operations and IT strategies, and product demonstrations.
- Take ambiguous business problems and define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend practical next steps.
- Bring focus to the customer’s decision‑making process by communicating and evaluating solution options and driving consensus among key collaborators.
- Demonstrate through software demos and rapid prototyping how connected experiences come to life with the Salesforce Solutions.
- Assist the customer, Account Executive, and Professional Services team with discovery, analysis, and recommendation of strategic solutions for the customer.
- Discover the customer’s business needs and position the best Salesforce solution to achieve those business objectives.
- Build and present customized solutions and demonstrations focused on Salesforce products to multiple customer personas.
- Convey a deep understanding of the customer’s architecture as it pertains to Salesforce's solutions.
- Orchestrate and lead cross‑functional solutions guides, and align them with the opportunity strategy.
- Develop and deliver the story of the customer experience aided by Salesforce technologies.
- Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certifications.
- Travel as required based on territory alignment and region.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
- Knowledge of relational database and web technology.
- Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied environments.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
- Salesforce Certifications.
- Experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company.
- Basic programming experience in HTML and other web technologies.
- Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role.
