The CRM Data Developer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and audience segmentation solutions that power personalized marketing experiences across Expedia Group’s brands. This role ensures data accuracy, scalability, and compliance while enabling the Traveler Engagement and Loyalty team to deliver targeted, high‑impact campaigns.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and integrations for CRM and marketing platforms, including Salesforce Data Cloud. This includes the configuration and management of Data Cloud data streams, data models, DLOs and DMOs.
  • Build and maintain audience segmentation logic, calculated insights and identity resolution to enable real‑time, accurate data flow for personalized campaigns.
  • Partner closely with Marketing stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce Data Cloud configurations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to deliver reliable, robust, and high‑performance data pipelines.
  • Support the CRM Data & Audiences Director and Senior Managers on strategic CRM data related projects and initiatives.
  • Define comprehensive testing plans, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new datasets onboarded into Data Cloud and support deployment and release processes across test and production environments.
  • Proactively monitor data feeds, ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability through proactive validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure data governance, quality and full compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) while adhering to Salesforce Data Cloud and industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑sharing materials for Data Cloud architecture, configurations, and solutions.
  • Drive innovation by staying current with new Salesforce Data Cloud features, evaluating their potential and leading Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) initiatives to advance traveler engagement strategies.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Data Cloud technical configuration (DLOs, DMOs, identity resolution, calculated insights, data streams)
  • Strong hands‑on experience in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
  • Significant experience in data quality, performance monitoring and complex issue resolution
  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem (Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and broader CRM/marketing technology platforms.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning and AI concepts as applied to customer data and personalization.
  • Proven expertise in data privacy, governance, and compliance best practices (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience designing testing strategies and leading UAT in complex data environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and deliver production‑ready, scalable solutions.
  • A proactive team player with a collaborative mindset that can work well in a globally distributed team
  • Ability to drive innovation through PoCs and emerging capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in CRM data development, with significant hands‑on work in Salesforce Data Cloud or comparable customer data platforms.
