Senior Network and Telecom Operations Engineer

    Looking for a strong Network and Telecom Operations person who can drive day-to-day network operations while also triaging network issues is the perfect candidate.

    Experience with MS Exchange, MS Office 365 Administration, Virtualization, and Network and Telecom operations is required.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Create documentation related to Networking and Telecom support as needed.

    • Work with vendors on SLAs, procedures, technology, and migrations.

    • Define work processes and procedures to ensure environment availability, support, and stability.

    • Ensure Telecom infrastructure is managed effectively.

    • Communicate with Business and Managed Services regarding Telecom needs.

    • Recommend Networking and Telecom hardware, software, and services.

    • Document all project phases as required.

    • Participate in support reviews and ensure follow-up actions are completed timely.

    • Provide immediate escalation support for issues escalated from Network Administrators and Engineers.

    • Collaborate with the team on high-level project designs, including upgrades, acquisitions, and migrations.

    • Interact with Operations management and senior personnel to resolve issues.

    • Plan for future growth and enterprise demand.

    • Stay informed on current trends in Networking and Telecom, advising the IT Operations Director accordingly.

    • Define and enforce best practices and standards across the enterprise.

    • Perform various technology-related tasks as assigned by the IT Operations Director.

    • Complete tasks within schedule and budget, maintaining high quality.

    • Provide regular, accurate status updates.

    • Identify and communicate problems affecting progress.

    • Seek resolution to problems from peers, managers, or other operations staff.

    • Establish standards and procedures for work assignments.

    • Review and document all relevant information thoroughly.

    • Maintain a positive attitude, high communication standards, and foster teamwork.
