A growing insurance company based in Bedford Park, IL, is seeking a full‑time Data Engineer to support operations, claims processing, and business reporting for regional carriers and partners. The company is modernizing its data infrastructure to build a scalable, cloud‑friendly ecosystem. The first 90 days will be fully onsite, after which the position will transition to a hybrid schedule. We are looking for an engineer with strong SQL/SSIS experience who is eager to gain proficiency in Azure Data Lake and Synapse Analytics.

• 3‑5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS
• Experience with ETL concepts and production data workflows
• Experience working with cloud technologies such as Azure, Synapse, or similar

• Experience or exposure to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Power BI
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata, or data quality frameworks
• Experience working in agile environments and with C#, .NET contextual data work

• Maintain and optimize SQL Server workflows, including queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports.
• Perform data quality checks, prepare datasets for reporting, and support analytics teams.
• Assist with cloud migration (Azure ADLS/Synapse) and automate recurring processes.
• Collaborate with developers on data integrations and support minor frontend/reporting tasks.
