UX Product Designer

Overview

Ninja Trader is seeking a Staff UX Product Designer to shape the future of trader engagement within a new vertical focused on Trader Engagement. You will lead design and execution to deliver best-in-class user experiences for both new and existing customers, working with Product Management and Engineering to meet user and business goals.

• Lead and drive design for the Trader Engagement vertical, enhancing experiences through educational tools, multimedia content, and social interactions
• Build an intuitive hub for content creators to enable creation and sharing on our platform
• Own end-to-end design for product areas related to trader engagement with customer-centric solutions
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to deliver innovative design solutions
• Maintain high design craft across the ecosystem, including visual design, interaction design, and usability
• Drive product-led growth through intuitive product experiences that promote adoption and engagement
• Contribute to the Design System and help scale it with the platform’s growth
• Mentor and lead other designers to foster collaboration and design excellence
• Participate in design critiques, product discussions, and collaborative sessions to shape direction
• Communicate design concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with cross-functional teamwork
• Proven track record delivering design solutions for complex products with a customer-centric approach
• Strong portfolio in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, user research, journey mapping, and persona development
• Fluency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and experience with Design Systems
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills across the organization
• Strong problem-solving abilities balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment

• Experience in futures trading, financial markets, or investment platforms

The salary range is $ – $ USD, with an annual target bonus of 12%. Bonus is based on individual and company performance. The package includes a 401(k) with 3.5% company match and 23 days of paid time off per year plus seven paid holidays.

Location:

Chicago, IL. Remote-friendly for exceptional candidates in select states. Hybrid schedule for Chicago-based employees: in-office Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday and Friday. Additional flex remote days and company-wide weeks are available.
