Trading Application Support Analyst -Chicago, IL

Location: Chicago, IL (Local Candidates Only)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Rate (W2): $60/hr
Visa Status: Open (Any visa – must be authorized to work on W2)
Experience Required: 5+ Years

We are seeking an experienced Trading Application Support Analyst to join our team and provide Level 2 production support for Fixed Income / Rates trading applications directly on the trading floor. This is a fast-paced, mission-critical role supporting approximately 15 key trading applications with opportunities for cross-training across multiple systems.

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Level 2 production support for Fixed Income / Rates trading platforms.

  • Monitor and support ~15 critical trading applications ensuring high availability.

  • Lead incident management efforts for market-facing systems, especially during critical trading hours.

  • Perform real-time troubleshooting and debugging of issues in live trading environments.

  • Analyze and join bond pricing data; generate detailed and actionable reports.

  • Review and debug Job I/O processes and associated logs for proactive issue resolution.

  • Collaborate closely with traders, developers, and other business stakeholders.

  Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Python: Scripting, data manipulation, automation tasks.

  • SQL: Strong querying skills including complex joins and data extraction.

  • Unix/Linux: Command-line proficiency, scripting, and advanced log analysis.

  Required Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for frequent trader and business interaction.

  • Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure in a high-stakes trading environment.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.

  Interview Process:

  • 1-2 Technical Interviews (Python, SQL, Unix, Trade Support Scenarios)

  • Final Round with Business/Trading Team (Soft skills, real-time troubleshooting scenarios)
