Chicago, IL – onsite 3 days in the loop, WFH 2 days

This position sits on the Business Development and Marketing team for a global professional services firm, and is the sole PM that sits in this department. There are quite a few initiatives related to Database Management, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Reporting and possibly Data Science/Client – which is the reason this position is open. You'd report directly to the Director on the team, and drive all projects related to analytics that support business development/marketing.

We are first and foremost looking for a strong Senior IT Project Manager. Secondarily, we are looking for this person to have experience managing data-focused projects and/or having prior experience with Database Management, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Reporting and/or Data Science/Client.

We are a Microsoft shop, and work in a hybrid cloud environment (Azure/Windows), leveraging SQL Server, Azure SQL, Power BI, Power Automate and other MS tools, in addition to Jira for Project Management.

• Manage multiple global data projects simultaneously from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope, that support Business Development and Marketing.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, Human Resources, Risk, and external vendors.
• Work alongside a team of experienced researchers and data analysts to manage projects in a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Present project updates, insights, and recommendations to Directors or stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business objectives.
• Partner with project leads to oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
• Partner with project leads to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in analysis and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Data or IT related field
• 7+ years of experience with IT Project Management
• Must have experience managing data-focused projects – the more diverse data experience the better, related to Database Management, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Reporting and/or Data Science/Client
• Must have experience with Power BI, Qlik or another data visualization tool – either hands on experience or managing these types of projects as data visualization is a big focus for us
• Must have experience managing global IT projects

• Experience working in professional services settings, ideally for a Big 4 firm or a major law firm
• PMP Certification
• Experience working in Microsoft environments, ideally in Azure environments
• Experience with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL
• Experience with JIRA
