Job Title: IBM Web Sphere Administrator with BPM/BAW Experience
Location: Chicago, IL (must be able to interview F2F)
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced IBM Web Sphere Administrator with a strong focus on BPM (Business Process Management) and BAW (Business Automation Workflow) administration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in managing, maintaining, and optimizing IBM Web Sphere environments while ensuring seamless integration with BPM and BAW solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support IBM Web Sphere environments, including installation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring.
- Manage and maintain BPM and BAW infrastructures, ensuring high availability and performance for business-critical applications.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions for complex problems.
- Plan and execute upgrades, applying patches and updates to Web Sphere Application Server, BPM, and BAW.
- Design, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures in line with best practices.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline administrative tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning to accommodate business needs.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to design and deploy BPM and BAW solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an IBM Web Sphere Administrator with expertise in BPM and BAW.
- Strong knowledge of Web Sphere Application Server architecture, installation, and configuration.
- Experience with BPM/BAW process design, deployment, and administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Jython, Shell, Python) for automation.
- Familiarity with database management and integration (e.g., DB2, Oracle, MS SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- IBM certifications related to Web Sphere, BPM, or BAW.
- Experience with cloud infrastructures and deployments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and methodologies.
