Freelance Manager, Analytics – Golin Chicago
Temporary freelance manager, analyst position requiring 15-20 hours weekly through December.
What You’ll Do- Support project leadership by managing individual work streams to deliver high‑quality work on time and within budget.
- Serve as a creative, analytical mind on the team to provide strategic recommendations for developing and improving digital and social media campaigns.
- Be a data journalist by uncovering strategic findings and insights using a range of digital analytics techniques, such as social listening.
- Use Excel to analyze media coverage for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions.
- Compile, synthesize, and analyze data sets, create reports, and present findings to the client.
- Use Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Meltwater, and other tools to set up dashboards and monitor and analyze results on a regular cadence.
- Support analytics projects by executing analysis, contributing to presentations, and working collaboratively with analysts and account leads.
- Demonstrate masterful storytelling: mine and synthesize varied data for omnichannel views and develop powerful presentations with concise, impactful narratives tied to business objectives.
- Stay up to date on emerging trends in earned, social, media, and consumer landscape.
- Analyze earned content for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions.
- Take initiative to proactively identify and solve challenges, collaborating with account leads to propose new opportunities and optimize work streams.
- Bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated passion for insights and analytics.
- 3–5 years’ experience, preferably within a public relations, market research, or advertising agency.
- Experience with data visualization tools and creative ways to display information.
- Keen eye for data trends and the ability to investigate and articulate factors that may account for these trends.
- Experience with analytics platforms, translating data to measure campaign success and providing data‑backed recommendations.
- Strong presentation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Similar Web Pro, Creator
IQ, Com Score, MOZ, and others. - Critical thinking and adaptability to change.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn.
We are open to considering qualified remote candidates in other locations.
Hourly rate: $35 – $53 hour.
