OverviewSomewear’s software platform and satellite-powered hardware enable commercial and government teams to maintain situational awareness during high-pressure operations — in any environment. Our mission is to save lives by enabling critical communications for the world’s most important teams. - Collaborate with go-to-market team members to develop and refine contract and other submissions for programmatic funding opportunities.
- Own program execution for government-funded R&D initiatives with a focus on uncrewed systems, including timeline, milestone, and deliverable management in coordination with customer stakeholders.
- Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to deliver reliable, field-ready solutions that meet the rugged demands of uncrewed and autonomous platforms.
- Coordinate integration efforts with third-party uncrewed platform providers and government end users to ensure ease of adoption.
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key customers and vendors in the defense and aerospace ecosystem.
- Proven experience managing product development in a startup environment with a strong bias to action.
- Deep hands-on experience with uncrewed systems (e.g., Group 1-5 UAS).
- Familiarity with SDK development and API-based integration strategies for embedded systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create clarity from ambiguity — synthesize customer feedback and first-principles thinking into crisp priorities that align engineering, operations, product, GTM, and customers.
- Technical fluency to partner with customers and engineers in shaping deployment and integration plans.
- Experience developing and executing proposals for US government-funded programs (SBIR, APFIT, CRADA, etc.) is a strong plus.
- You’ll own mission-critical product development from concept to delivery.
- You’ll have a leading hand in crafting our end-to-end solutions for a new GTM offering.
- You’ll work with a high-caliber, driven team that moves fast and supports one another relentlessly.
- You’ll directly support fielded systems used by military, emergency response, and public safety teams around the world.
