Job Summary

As a Test Lead specializing in Java, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the testing efforts for projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and client requirements. You will be responsible for planning, deploying, and managing testing work efforts, actively engaging with stakeholders to facilitate a seamless testing process. Your expertise will guide the testing team in enhancing their skills and leveraging automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in functional and technical discussions with clients and team members to thoroughly understand functional and design specifications, identify performance concerns, and ensure the development of automated test scripts using Java and related technologies.

Develop and enhance automated tests in alignment with new system features and enhancements; create work plans, monitor progress, and track schedules to ensure timely delivery according to defined quality standards.

Design and implement a reusable and scalable test automation framework; develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, maintain test data, and provide status reports to mitigate project risks and manage escalations effectively.

Mentor and guide QA engineers in utilizing the testing framework, fostering their technical skills, and enhancing overall team productivity through knowledge sharing and support.

Skill Requirements

Strong understanding of Java and automated testing frameworks.

Proficiency in creating and executing test cases and scripts.

Solid knowledge of testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.

Familiarity with tools such as Selenium or JUnit for automated testing.

Experience in maintaining test environments and infrastructure.

Certification

Optional but valuable certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Agile Tester (CAT).

Additional Requirement

Resource needs to work from customer office at Naperville or Chicago (USA).
