Service Desk Analyst – Onsite, Chicago, IL
Job OverviewWe are looking for a bright, motivated, and detail-oriented Service Desk Analyst who can provide technical support to a demanding and diverse range of customers from different industries.
What You’ll DoProvide technical support to diverse customers, support Microsoft Software products, industry‑standard server hardware, third‑party vendor software applications, and Active Directory. Troubleshoot and communicate effectively with customers in real time over the phone and via remote desktop tools.
Duties- Troubleshooting user and system problems over the phone and with remote control technologies as a member of the front‑line support team.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proactive technical support services through the use of automation.
- Involvement in strategic planning of clients’ use of IT.
- Accurate documentation of all activities conducted.
- Build upon and enhance the EMPIST Knowledge Base.
- Manage, maintain, troubleshoot and support client networks, equipment, software and services.
- Learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or working toward it.
- 6+ months of IT Help Desk experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8, 10) and Mac OS (plus).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Services.
- Ability to assess issues and provide timely resolution.
- Microsoft Certification.
- Experience in remote desktop support.
- Excellent organization and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to be helpful in any situation.
- Strong motivation, self‑direction, commitment and integrity.
- Ability to multi‑task with solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and be in an on‑call rotation.
Salary: $45,000 – $55,000
This is a full‑time technical position with full benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K Match. We pay for certifications to complete that track.
