Cloud Systems Architect

Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect with experience in cloud infrastructure to engineer and support public, private, and hybrid clouds. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

• Advise customers on cloud management strategies and optimize cloud workloads, including scalable workstation provisioning and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with the IT Security team to manage and maintain cloud systems security of data and network resources.
• Engineer on customer premise applications and systems interconnected to cloud resources.
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and security.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total systems. Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions; provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers as needed.

• Experience with cloud computing technologies and migrating applications to the cloud.
• Ability to build relationships between customers and team members.
• Knowledge to integrate services and tools across networks and data processing.
• Experience implementing security information and event management to protect assets.
• Experience meeting or exceeding cloud provider service-level agreements (AWS and Azure).
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages (Python, PHP, Java, Node, Ruby on Rails).
• Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of work experience or equivalent.
